This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the first information report in Crime No.14 of 2025 pending on the file of the first respondent police, insofar as the petitioners are concerned. 2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the first respondent and submits that the investigation has already been completed and final report has been filed before the concerned Judicial Magistrate Court through e-filing on 21.04.2025 and the same is yet to be taken on file. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report, if so advised, in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is taken on file by the concerned Court within a period of two weeks. It is also the responsibility of the 2/4

concerned Courts to take the final reports on file, if it is filed in order, within a period of two weeks.
