ORDER

The petitioner herein, who worked as the Revenue Assistant in the respondent Corporation, retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.03.2016. In connection with payment of his 1/4

terminal benefits, especially, the General Provident Fund, there was a delay and the amounts that were paid are also without calculating the interest from time to time. Thus, a dispute arose. The petitioner also made a claim for payment of interest as per his legal entitlement and accordingly, submitted a representation dated 09.10.2025. However, according to the petitioner, the respondent has not taken any steps on the said representation till date. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation fairly submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the respondent in accordance with law expeditiously.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 09.10.2025 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders and in case, if any amounts are found to be due and payable to the petitioner, the same shall be paid expeditiously as 2/4

possible, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
