Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the Nadana Naatiya Nigalchi on 20.07.2019 in the eve of the 71st Annual celebration of Arulmigu Kettathaikodukkum Sri Veerakaliamman Temple Festival at Rathinapuram, Jaihindpuram, Madurai.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform Nadana Naatiya Nigalchi on 20.07.2019 in the eve of 71st Annual celebration of Arulmigu Kettathaikodukkum Sri Veerakaliamman Temple Festival at Rathinapuram, Jaihindpuram, Madurai.

The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct Nadana Naatiya Nigalchi on 20.07.2019 in the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 24.06.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed

to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.
