: Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to detach the M.Puliyankulam Village from the jurisdiction of Madurai District and attach the same within jurisdiction of the Virudhunagar District by considering

the representations of the petitioner dated 04.12.2019 and the Legal Notice dated 20.04.2021.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.] This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to detach the M.Puliyankulam Village from the jurisdiction of Madurai District and attach the same with the jurisdiction of Virudhunagar District by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2019.

2. Though the petitioner seeks a positive direction from this Court in the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the second respondent who is competent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2019 and to pass appropriate orders in the light of the grievance expressed by the petitioner in the representation and taking into account the averments stated in para 8 of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition.

3. The petitioner shall submit a fresh representation along with a copy of this order. On such representation is made, the second respondent shall get a report from the District Collector and hold enquiry if necessary by giving an opportunity being heard to the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the writ petitioner within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
