By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department had acquired his property in Survey No.42/5, T.Veppankulam Village, Kariapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District, for the purpose of constructing a crematorium. For the said acquisition, according to the petitioner, the authorities had given him an assurance that priority would be given to his family members for employment in Government Offices. Thereafter, acquisition took place, for which, identification certificate for displaced family on account of acquisition dated 29.01.2010 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

employment priority certificate dated 07.12.2010 were issued to him. It is his grievance that the said two certificates are contrary to each other, as per one certificate, the petitioner was granted a sum of Rs.15,810/- as compensation for the acquisition, whereas, the other stated that no compensation was awarded. Pointing out such contrary, the District Employment Office, Virudhunagar has rejected the petitioner's request to register his name and aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 14.11.2017, before the respondents requesting them to correct the mistake crept-in in the aforesaid two certificates. As the said representation is kept pending, without any action, the present petition came to be filed, for the aforesaid relief.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the authorities are inclined to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, on merits, within a stipulated time limit.

5. Under such circumstances, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
