PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory bail in Crime No. 153 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 6

(4) of TNSC (RDCS) order 1984 and 7(1)(a)(ii) of EC Act in Crime No.153 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had illegally transported 240 bags of PDS rice. Hence, the present case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioners had transported 240 bags of PDS rice.

5. Considering the quantity of PDS rice involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
