*********** Heard M/s.V.Muthukamatchi, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The writ petitioner is working as a Panchayat Secretary. Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him. However, on account of the non-appointment of the enquiry officer, the proceedings continued to be in limbo. Since pendency of the proceedings is causing prejudice to the writ petitioner, he has moved this Court for directing the respondent to complete the same.

3. When the matter was taken up for disposal, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a copy of the proceedings dated 08.01.2018, issued by the second respondent, whereby, an enquiry officer has been appointed.

4. A direction is therefore given to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the writ petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
