Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to order revaluation of the English Paper (Annexure I Serial No. 11) answer sheets in the written examination conducted for the recruitment of Lectures (Engineering/Non-Engineering) in Government Polytechnic Colleges for the year 2017-18 and consequently direct the respondent to consider the petitioner for selection to the said post by awarding 5 additional marks and by considering my representation dated 05.12.2017. The petitioner had participated in the Direct Recruitment of lectures in Government Polytechnic Colleges for the year 2017-18 has filed this Writ Petition for a direction to order revaluation of the English paper (Annexure I Serial No.11) answer sheets in the written examination conducted for the recruitment of lecturers (Engineering/ Non-Engineering) and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for selection to the said post by awarding 5 additional marks by considering the representation dated 05.12.2017.
2.Heard, Mr.M.Jerinmathew, learned counsel appearing for the
petitioner and Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent.
3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader on instructions submits that the teachers recruitment board has issued a notification dated 11.12.2017, which reads as follows:- "The results of Direct Recruitment of Lectureres in Government Polytechnic Colleges written Examination 2017-18 published on 07.11.2017, on official website of Teachers Recruitment Board are hereby withdrawn due to various representations received from candidates. Hence, it has been decided to publish the scanned copies of original OMR answer sheet as itself with marks awarded for all the candidates in the public domain.
The scanned images of OMR answer sheets with marks awarded with reference to final key have been uploaded on the website on 11.12.2017. Any discrepancies found out by the candidates may be brought to the notice of TRB immediately by Registered post with acknowledgement Due or directly be handed over to the Information centre at Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai-6. Last date for submission of any such representation is 18.12.2017 up to 5.30. p.m. After scrutinizing the representations only, TRB will release the revised C.V. List for further process. Utmost care has been taken in preparing the list and in publishing it. Teachers Recruitment Board reserves the right to correct any errors that may have crept in. Incorrect key answer would not confer any right of enforcement."
3.In the light of the aforesaid notification issued by the respondent, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to make a fresh representation. In view of the same, the matter does not require any adjudication at this stage and the petitioner is at liberty to make a fresh representation in terms of notification dated 11.12.2017 issued by the respondent.
