ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The petitioner herein filed W.P.(MD)No.24081 of 2018 seeking variety of reliefs. The writ petition was disposed of on 31.01.2019. One primary direction given therein was that dispensary now functional in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court should be upgraded so that medical facilities can be availed not only by the staff working in the Madurai Bench but also by the residents of the locality. Contending that this direction given by this Court has not been complied with, the present contempt petition came to be filed.

3. In response to the notice issued by this Court, status report has been filed. The learned Additional Advocate General, on instructions, submits that the working hours of the dispensary will be increased and dispensary will function from 09.00 a.m, to 08.00 pm., He further assures that pucca ambulance service with fully fitted equipment will be available round the clock.

4. We are satisfied that beyond this, it is not possible to comply with the direction given by this Court. The contempt petition is closed. (G.R.S., J.)
