Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to provide Agricultural Loan to a tune of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) to the Petitioner within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned Counsel, takes notice for the respondent.

3. Alleging that the respondent Bank is denying to sanction Agricultural Loan to the petitioner, despite proper application, the present petition came to be filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. According to the petitioner, he has made an application before the respondent Bank, seeking Agricultural Loan, for a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- and the same came to be rejected by the respondent Bank, citing the pendency of the Educational loan taken by his daughter before the Canara bank, Dindigul District, where the petitioner has signed as a guarantor. It is his specific case that in earlier years, the petitioner has availed several loans from various Banks and has also repaid the same within time. rejected his claim and narrating all these facts, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 04.12.2017 before the respondent Bank. As the same is kept pending, without any action, he is before this Court.

5. The learned Counsel for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be disposed of, by the authorities, on merits, within a stipulated time limit.

Under such circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Bank to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
