None appeared for the writ petitioners on the earlier occasion. The case was directed to be listed under the caption "for dismissal". Today also, there is no representation for the petitioners. 2.I went through the contents of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition.

3.It is seen that the application of the petitioners for being granted electricity service connection was denied on the ground that the building is located within 300 meters from Sambai Oothu. 4.For the reasons set out in the order dated 05.10.2023 made in W.P.(MD)No.4129 of 2022, the impugned order is set aside. The petitioners are permitted to resubmit their application. Subject to 2/4

fulfilment of other usual formalities, the electricity service connection shall be given to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible. 5.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. No costs.
