O R D E R
The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent herein to give permission for conducting Cricket Tournament by "Fire Mountain Cricket Club" scheduled from 09.00 a.m. on 23.12.2017 to 06.00 p.m. on 25.12.2017 in the play ground which is situated IMTI back side new Burma Colony, Valavanthankottai, Trichy - 15, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2017.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner and his club decided to conduct Cricket Tournament from 23.12.2017 to 25.12.2017 at IMTI back side new Burma Colony, Valavanthankottai, Trichy - 15. He further submitted that the Cricket Tournament is at the village level and this is purely to promote sports. In this connection, a representation was given to the respondent on 05.12.2017, with a request to grant permission for conducting the Cricket Tournament in the above said dates. However, the respondent has not yet considered the said representation and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that there is no objection for the petitioner to conduct 'Cricket Tournament' from 23.12.2017 to 25.12.2017.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:
The respondent/Inspector of Police, Thuvakudi Police Station, Trichy, is directed consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.12.2017 and to give permission to the petitioner and the organizers, for conducting Cricket Tournament at IMTI back side new Burma Colony, Valavanthankottai, Trichy - 15 from 23.12.2017 to 25.12.2017 between 09.00 a.m. and 06.00 p.m. subject to any reasonable restrictions that may be imposed by the second respondent in the interest of public and to preserve the law and order. Further, the petitioner and the organizers of the tournament are totally prohibited from installing or fixing any banner representing any community or political personalities.
No costs.
