3. The petitioner, being one of the Executive Directors of the fourth respondent Society, is before this Court, contending that
some of the Board of Directors had preferred a complaint as against one S.Ravichandran/President of the fourth respondent Society, alleging misappropriation of funds, upon which, the third respondent has passed an order dated 09.05.2017, directing him to convene a Special Meeting. According to the petitioner, the said Ravichandran, instead of convening a special meeting, has filed a writ petition in W.P(MD)No.10523 of 2017 and the same is said to be pending. In the meanwhile, the petitioner, along with other Board of Directors, in the name of the Society, had submitted a representation dated 20.11.2017, before the official respondents, seeking permission to grant agricultural loans to its members. As the said representation is kept pending, without any action, the present writ petition came to be filed, seeking a direction for early disposal of the representation dated 20.11.2017.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation dated 20.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the fourth respondent as well as all the other interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
