ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's request for promotion to the post of Grade I Librarian with all other monetary and service benefits.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is working as a Typist in the fifth respondent medical college hospital. The petitioner, holding B.L.I.Sc., degree, made a representation dated 21.11.2017 to consider her case for promotion to the post of Librarian in the fifth respondent college, which is stated to be vacant as on date. Since the same has not been considered so far, this writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents on merits. 5.In view of the above submission, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2017 one way or other and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
