PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent vide her proceedings in Na.Ka.A1/3126/2024, dated 21.04.2025, and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 1st respondent to retain the patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the Survey Ns.50/1B and 52/3E3, situated at Balarajapuram revenue Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District.

ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed, challenging the order passed by the first respondent, cancelling the patta issued in favour of the petitioner, in respect of the property in Survey Nos.52/3E1, 52/3E2, 52/3E3 and 52/3E4, and restoration of the revenue records to the status prior to UDR updation.

2. Heard Mr.K.Arunraj, for the petitioner; Mr.D.S.Neduncheziyan, Government Advocate, for the respondents 1 to 3; and Mr.AN.Ramanathan, for

Respondent No.6. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 4 and 5, notice to them is dispensed with. With the consent of both the counsel, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3. Against the impugned order passed by the first respondent, the petitioner has got the remedy of revision before the District Revenue Officer. It is seen from the impugned order, that the petitioner was heard and then only the impugned order was passed. Hence, there is no violation of principles of natural justice. Under these circumstances, absolutely there is no reason to bypass the alternative remedy of revision available before the District Revenue Officer.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternative remedy of revision before the District Revenue Officer concerned. No costs. Consequently, the connected W.M.P. (MD) No.11676 of 2025 is closed.
