ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned senior counsel appearing for the appellants and the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner.

2. This writ appeal is directed against an interim direction issued by the learned single Judge. By the impugned order, the writ petitioner / student has been permitted to write the supplementary examinations which is scheduled to be held from tomorrow onwards. Paragraph No.4 of the order dated 02.06.2025 reads as follows:- "4. Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 5 & 6, in the interest of justice, the respondents are directed to allow the petitioner to appear for supplementary examinations, which are starting on 04.06.2025. Needless to say that the results shall not be declared and shall be kept in the sealed cover and await the final order of this Court."

3. We are clearly of the view that the rights of the college have been fully protected. By permitting the student to write the 3/5

supplementary examination, the college is not going to suffer any prejudice. On the other hand, if we stay or set aside the impugned order, the writ petition itself will become infructuous. Leaving open all the contentions of the appellant college as well as that of the student, the Writ Appeal is disposed of. No costs. We request the learned single Judge to take up the writ petition 'for final disposal' on 16.06.2025. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (G.R.S., J.)
