By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final hearing.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the land comprised in Survey No.296/6 situated at Keela Arasaradi Village, Oddapadaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District was allotted to the petitioner by the respondent on 29.03.2002 and since then she has been cultivating in the same. On 05.01.2017, the petitioner had made a request to the respondent to issue Patta in her favour, which is pending.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought for and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 05.01.2017, on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While conducting such an enquiry, the respondent shall issue notice to any person, who may have rival claim in the subject lands. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
