ORDER

The prayer made in the Writ Petition is for a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to release the petitioner's Two-Wheeler being the Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle bearing Registration No.TN-49-DY-0262.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that the vehicle was involved in crime No.101 of 2026 with reference to an offence under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(C) and 14(A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 and now the proceedings are initiated to confiscate the vehicle and already a show cause notice was issued on 10.03.2026.

3. In view thereof, the right of the petitioner will be dependent upon the ultimate orders of confiscation that will be passed by directing the respondents to pass the final orders with reference to the show cause notice as expeditiously as possible, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 03.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No sji 2/4
