ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by NOOTY.RAMAMOHANA RAO,J.) The Inspector of Police, Thuvarankurichi Police Station, Trichirappalli District, has filed a status report in the matter today, a copy of which was also served on the other side.
2. We could make out that from one incident, three criminal cases came to be registered. It is rather sad that the peace and tranquil atmosphere of the village is spoiled by this. However, fortunately, the learned Counsel for the petitioner has pointedly brought to our notice that a Peace Committee Meeting was organised in the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer and the villagers as well the police were present and certain terms have been settled for adherence by all the parties concerned, so that, the life in the village as earlier, is restored.
3. In this view of the developments noted above, if the petitioner has got still any other grievances, preserving his liberty to pursue the same in accordance with law, this writ petition stands disposed of, as thankfully, the peace returned to that village. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
