Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the land in old survey No.723/14, Re-Survey No.723/27 to an extent of 89 Sq.mtr at Kayathar Village and Taluk Thoothukudi District on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 17.04.2026 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the land in old survey No.723/14, Re-Survey No.723/27 to an extent of 89 Sq.m at Kayathar

Village and Taluk Thoothukudi District on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 17.04.2026 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 2.The land in old survey No.723/14, Re-Survey No.723/27 to an extent of 78 sq.m or 1.92 cents at Kayathar Village and Taluk Thoothukudi District was assigned to the petitioner's mother. Based on the assignment, a construction has been made. While constructing, an additional cent was also taken up by the petitioner for the construction, which comes to the extent of 2.19 cents or 89 sq.m. Now, the petitioner is seeking patta in his name including the additional extent. 3.This Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.04.2026 on merits and pass orders in accordance to law. The 1st respondent shall consider the same mercifully. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
