ORDER

The Petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing second respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation, dated 7.6.2018 and for a consequential direction to give promotion to the post of Assistant General Manager by revising his seniority in the category of Assistant Manager and Manager.

2.Mr.K.Mu.Muthu, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent respondent and Mr.D.Shanmugaraja Sethupathi, learned counsel takes notice for the second respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition itself https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. 3.The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is against the second respondent and no Writ Petition will lie against the Cooperative Societies in view of the dictum laid down in Marappan .vs. The Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Namakkal reported in 2006(4) CTC 689. It is needless to mention that it is for the Petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for necessary relief.

4.With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
