The petitioners /accused in Crime No.229 of 2021, on the file of the first respondent police have filed this petition, to quash the above proceedings on the ground of compromise. 2.According to the learned Counsel for the petitioners, the complainant is none other than the brother of the petitioners and due to a wordy quarrel, the case has been foisted. The learned counsel claims that the issue has now been amiably settled.

3.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabhakar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the case in Crime No.229 of 2021 has been registered for the offence under Sections 294(b), 324, 323 and 506(i) IPC. The learned Judicial Magistrate by his order in Crl.MP No.942 of 2025, dated 14.06.2025, has already closed the above Crime No.229 of 2021, under Section 468 of Cr.P.C., on the ground of limitation. The order /proceedings of the learned Judicial Magistrate is placed before this Court.

4.This Court considered the rival submissions made and also perused the materials placed on record.

5.The petitioners have filed this petition to quash the first information report in Crime No.229 of 2021 on the ground of compromise. It is now reported that the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karambakudi, by his order in Cr.MP.No.942 of 2025, dated 14.06.2025, has closed the above First Information Report, under Section 468 of Cr.P.C., on the ground of limitation. 6.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed as no further order is required to be passed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. 28.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No vrn 3/5
