By consent of both parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the land comprised in Survey No.227/1 in K.Rayavaram Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District belongs to the petitioner and the Natham Settlement Officer, Madurai had also issued a Patta in her favour. Based on the petitioner's representation sent to the District Collector, Pudukottai, the District Collector had forwarded the petitioner's representation to the respondent, directing him about the action taken. Though the order was forwarded on 29.09.2016, no action had been taken and hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider the petitioner's representation, dated 16.09.2016, on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
