ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. He has submitted an application before the jurisdictional passport officer. Apprehending that it may not be processed in view of his involvement in a criminal case, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the case originally registered against the petitioner was closed as "mistake of fact" and that as of now, there is no criminal case pending against the petitioner. 4.There is no impediment for the the passport authority to issue passport to the petitioner. The first respondent is directed to issue passport to the petitioner. This writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs. 02.07.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias 2/4
