PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi to expedite the trial in CC No.29 of 2020, within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi to expedite the trial in CC No.29 of 2020, within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioners are accused in Crime No.41 of 2019, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 342, 342, 324, 506(ii) IPC on 28.01.2019. Investigation has been completed and taken cognizance by the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi in CC No.29 of 2020.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the first petitioner is the law graduate and waiting to be enrolled. Because of the pendency of the above criminal case, his future is affected. For the past one year, no progress is made in the trial due to pandemic situation.

4. Considering the position of the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi to expedite the trial and dispose of the same within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposal of the same, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
