Seeking permission and police protection for conducting ''Kida-Muttu'' (Goats fight), at Checkkanoorani Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, on 06.06.2025, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2.Today(05.06.2025), when this Writ petition is taken up for admission, Mr.A.S.Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the respondents opposes that the said event is not a lawful event under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2017. 3.In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition.
