This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Nagercoil to dispose of the C.C.No.215 of 2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the first respondent. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie., 21.07.2022), the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that so far three witnesses have been examined and the case was posted for further examination of witnesses on 06.07.2022. 4.On perusal of the 'B' Diary of the Court below, it is seen that the petitioners are A1 to A4 in C.C.No.215 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Nagercoil and they have been prosecuted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 323 and 324 of IPC. It is further seen that so far three witnesses have been examined and issued summon to L.W. 2 to L.W.4 and the case is posted on 06.07.2022 for further examination of witnesses.

5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the first petitioner is the College Chairman, second petitioner is the College Vice Principal, third petitioner is the HOD of Mechanical Department and 2/5

the fourth petitioner is the Assistant Professor and because of pending criminal case, they are unable to attend regular work. Hence, he wants to dispose the case as early.

6.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the Judicial Magistrate Court No.III, Nagercoil, is hereby directed to dispose the case in C.C.No.215 of 2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
