ORDER
(This Matter was heard through the Video Conferencing) This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.03.2020 for the grant of Stage Carriage Permit to ply on the routes Kadaiyanallur Masudu High School to Surandai.
2. Mr.C.Ramar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Heard Ms.Chamundi Bose, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Ramar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.
4. It is the case of the petitioner that he has satisfied all the requirements for the grant of Stage Carriage permit in his favour to ply his bus in the routes Kadaiyanallur Masudu High School to Surandai. He has applied for Stage Carriage permit for the said route with the respondent on 16.03.2020. It is his case that till date, the said application has not been considered by the respondent. 5. The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is an innocuous relief. No prejudice will be caused to the respondent if the relief sought for by the petitioner is granted by this Court.
6. Admittedly, the petitioner has submitted an application for Stage Carriage Permit for the routes Kadaiyanallur Masudu High School to Surandai. It is also his case that he has satisfied all the requirements with the respondent for the grant of Stage Carriage permit. He has also sent reminders to the respondent on 21.05.2020 and 26.06.2020. According to him, till date, his application has not been considered by the respondent.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.03.2020 for the grant of Stage Carriage permit to ply on the routes Kadaiyanallur Masudu High School to Surandai and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
