*********** Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent.

4. The writ petitioner's wife was working as a teacher. She retired from service in the year 1997. She was getting pension. She passed away on 11.04.2017. The writ petitioner as the legal heir was entitled to receive the family pension thereafter. For certain reasons, the respondent has not been providing family pension benefits to the writ petitioner. is absolutely no justification for non-disbursement of the said benefits. The writ petitioner is a senior citizen. He is aged about 80 years. Therefore, the respondent must adopt a sensitive approach in such cases. This Court directs the respondent to provide family pension benefits to the writ petitioner without any delay.

5.This Writ Petition stands allowed as prayed for. No Costs.
