: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction one month leave immediately under Rule 20 (iv) and 22(2) of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 to the petitioner's son Bala @ Balamurugan S/o Paramasivam, LCP No.5382 to conduct marriage for him which is scheduled to be held on 27.11.2020 as he is presently confined as a life convict in the Central Prison, Madurai, in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

(Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction one month leave immediately under Rule 20(iv) and 22(2) of the Tamil Nadu 1/3
Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 to the petitioner's son Bala @ Balamurugan S/o Paramasivam, LCP No.5382 to conduct marriage for him which is scheduled to be held on 27.11.2020 as he is presently confined as a life convict in the Central Prison, Madurai. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous, since the third respondent herein, vide proceeding dated 19.11.2020, rejected the request of the petitioner. 3.In the light of the above facts, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
