ORDER
The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3.It is seen from the records that there was a case filed against the petitioner's son for the offence of rape under Section 376 I.P.C. Thereafter, the Fast Track Mahila Court, Thanjavur, conducted the trial and acquitted the petitioner's son by judgment dated 20.01.2017, on the ground that the prosecution did not prove the case beyond reasonable grounds.
4.This Petition has been filed by the father seeking for police protection to his son. The petitioner has also alleged in the petition that he and his wife are also facing threat and the movable properties belonging to the petitioner are being taken away by the persons belonging to the family of the victim. Therefore, this petition has been seeking for police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 5.The second respondent is directed to take the representation dated 02.07.2018 on file and call the parties and enquire them with
regard to the complaint made by the petitioner. It is left open to the second respondent to take action thereafter in accordance with law.
6.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
