Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent to provide Rs.5,44,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Forty Four Thousand only) as Education Loan to the petitioner's daughter for Bachelor of Agriculture (B.sc.,) within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.Pala Ramasamy, learned Counsel, takes notice for the second respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she had approached the second respondent Bank for educational loan to her daughter to pursue her B.Sc., (Hons.) Agriculture Degree Course, as they have been earning only meagre amount as salary. Since there was no response on her request, she submitted a representation dated 14.11.2017 to the second respondent Bank for consideration, which did not meet its fate so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent Bank submitted

that if reasonable time is granted to the authorities, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders be passed.

5. Under such circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
