..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the revision petition dated 26.06.2024 filed by the petitioner within the time frame.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the revision petition dated 26.06.2024 filed by him within the stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.S.Madhavan, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he filed an application before the third respondent seeking correction in the revenue records. The said application was rejected by the third respondent by directing the petitioner to approach the competent authority, namely, the first respondent. Challenging the said order, the petitioner submitted a revision before the second respondent on 26.06.2024 in Na.Ka.No.C3/14883/2024. The said revision has not been taken into consideration. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents, would submit that the revision submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the revision petition filed by the petitioner dated 26.06.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
