ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to grant necessary permission to erect and unveil the cement statue of freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman in 1/4

petitioner's own patta land in survey No.362/1D1 of Uadikulam Village, Mustakkuruchi Village Panchayat.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the said application was received by the 2nd respondent and the 2nd respondent has initiated proceedings. He submitted that the 2nd respondent has called for the report from the Revenue officials in order to consider the petitioner's application. After the report is ready, the same ought to be submitted to the 1st respondent, who is the appropriate authority to pass the order.

3.Since the petitioner's application is under consideration, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's application in accordance to law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
