ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.03.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b) (ii) (c), 29(1) and 25 of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, in Crime No. 403/2024 on the file of the Respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along his friends were in illegal possession of 31.910 kilograms of Ganja . Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offences as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any conditions which may be imposed by this Court and he is in judicial custody from 18.03.2025. Hence, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that this case involves seizure of 31.910 kilograms of Ganja and also submitted 2/4

that based on the confession statement of A1, the petitioner was arrayed as accused No.8. He further submitted that one previous case, which is similar in nature is pending against the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the allegations, namely that the seizure involves a large quantity of Ganja and one previous case, which is similar in nature, is pending against the petitioner, this is not a fit case for the grant of bail
