Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider my representation dated 08.05.2024 and restrain any further registration or alienation of my matrimonial property situated in Kallankuthu Village, pending adjudication of my legal rights before the competent civil court. ORDER

The present writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2024 and restrain from registering or alienating the matrimonial property situated in Kallankuthu Village.

2. The +petitioner and the 5th respondent are husband and wife. The 6th respondent is the purchaser of the subject property. The contention of the petitioner is that the present property is the only matrimonial property available. The same is being sold by the 5th respondent. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to restrain the registration of the subject property. 2/4

3. This Court tried to mediate the issues between the parties, however, the same could not be sorted out. It is a settled proposition that the Registration Department cannot act as a Civil Court. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to approach appropriate civil court, if so advised.

4. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
