O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed against her in Na.Ka.No.A7/1757/2014 within the stipulated period.

2. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that one Syed Jamaludeen / Manager of one Hasvathul Hasana Muslim Sangam had filed an appeal before the respondent, in which, she has been added as the respondent, for cancellation of patta and change of patta in the name of Sangam. Since the said appeal has been kept pending since 2014 without any further progress, she has submitted a representation dated 17.11.2017 to the respondent for early disposal of the appeal, as its pendency causes much prejudice to her. Since no action has been taken on the representation, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the

respondent would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the respondent, the appeal filed by Syed Jamaludeen will be disposed of.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the appeal pending in Na.Ka.No.A7/1757/2014, if not already disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the appellant in the pending appeal and other connected parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
