Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in No.3583/EW.1/2017 dated 23.11.2017 and set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Grade-II Constable, Grade II Jail Warders and Fireman at the Uniformed Service.

O R D E R

The Chairman, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai - 2, issued notification dated 23.01.2017 inviting applications for the post of Police Constables - Grade II, Jail Warders - Grade II and Fireman, 2017.

2.The petitioner herein was eligible to apply for the said post. He made applications. He was issued with the hall ticket. He took part in the selection process. However, he was disqualified on the ground that he was having a defective vision. As per the relevant rules, he must be ready to undergo a second medical examination. In this case, the writ petitioner was not willing for such an examination. Therefore, he was denied employment. An order to this effect was issued on 23.11.2017. This is under challenge in this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner would submit that now the petitioner is ready and willing for second medical examination.

4.The respondents are directed to convene a second Medical Board for subjecting the writ petitioner for examination and pass appropriate order declaring the result of the said medical examination. This exercise shall be completed on or before 15.03.2018.
