PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.297 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.297 of 2017 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.297 of 2017 has been registered for the offences under Sections 420 IPC on the file of the respondent police on 17.12.2017. But so far, no investigation is conducted on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court with the present petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the investigation in the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been completed and a negative final https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9968 of 2019 report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil. RCS notice has also been served to the petitioner.

5. Since the investigation in the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been completed and final report has also been filed before the concerned Magistrate, the relief as such sought for by the petitioner in the present petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner has any grievance, it is always open to him to initiate appropriate proceedings to redress the same in the manner known to law.
