PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from constructing any building for the office of the 4th respondent in Survey Number 71 situated at Thondi First Class Town Panchayat without extending the same for the purposes of Government Hospital, Thondi even at least considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to forbear the respondents from constructing any building for the office of the fourth respondent in S.No.71, situate at Thondi First Class Town Panchayat without extending the same for the purposes of Government Hospital, Thondi by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025.

2. The petitioner, as an individual, cannot have any option or a right to suggest that the Government building must be constructed in a 2/4

particular place. Such nature of relief would not fall under the characteristics of "Public Interest Litigation" as per the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Thus, the present Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
