Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary Police Protection to perform the cultural programme (i.e.,) Dance Programme on 09.02.2017 and 10.02.2017 at 07.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. in the festival of Sri Thadainatchiamman Thirukovil Kumbabishega Thiruvizha at E.Kottaipatti, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai Dist.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme on 09.02.2017 and 10.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 06.02.2017, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Elumalai Police Station, Madurai District is directed to look into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the representation dated 06.02.2017 and dispose of the same forthwith only in respect of the programme to be conducted on 10.02.2017.
