O R D E R

The petitioner, who is a practising Advocate and a member of Naam Tamilar Katchi, has submitted a representation dated 13.07.2016 to the 2nd respondent for granting permission to conduct one day token fasting on 17.07.2016 at Tiruchendur in support of the cause of a young lady Mrs.Burjana Begam, an Advocate by profession.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Once a representation has been received by the respondents, it is their bounden duty to decide on the same in one way or the other. Therefore, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.07.2016 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law.
