The General Manager, Madurai Region, Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation, (Madurai) Limited Bye Pass Road, Madurai - 625 016. : Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders/directions to all Transport Corporations under his control to give opportunity to the driver employees equally on par with the other categories for promotion, as per Rule of Equality under Article 14 of the Constitution, of which, equal 50%, is to given the promotion on the basis of seniority and the remaining equal half to the efficient driver employees on merits on the basis of passing the written examinations, possessing a minimum qualification of S.S.L.C., with a minimum of 10 years driving experience, of which latest three years must be bus driving and to make it mandatory that for the buses plying after 11 p.m., must necessarily be accompanied by a driver cum conductor without any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
deviation and direct the respondents to promote the driver employees as Traffic Managers, Traffic Superintendents, Traffic Inspector, Driving Instructors and Traffic Supervisors to the serving qualified Driver employees and considering the Petitioner's representations dated 11.09.2013, 04.10.2014, 20.12.2014, 27.03.2015 and 13.10.2017.
