Heard Mr.G.Thiruvarutselvan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse the entire amount claimed by him on the basis of his representation dated 20.04.2023.
3. Mr.G.Thiruvarutselvan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has spent a sum of Rs.3,20,000/- towards the Covid-19 treatment for his wife. However, only a sum of Rs. 78,955/- has been reimbursed to the petitioner and the first respondent has not stated any reason with regard to the rejection of rest of the claim of the petitioner.
4. Since the first respondent has not stated any reason as to the rejection of the rest of the claim of the petitioner towards medical 2/4
reimbursement, order to that effect shall be passed by the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and let a copy of that order be served to the petitioner immediately after passing such order. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the order to be passed by the first respondent, he is at liberty to workout his remedy before the appropriate forum.
