Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide the award amount based on petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2016 for the acquisition of petitioner lands for widening NH 67.

The petitioner claims to be the owner of the land situated in Survey Nos.899/1, 901 and 913/4 in Thanthoni Village. It is stated that the said land was classified by the third respondent for expansion of the national highways.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though such acquisition was commenced and a publication was made on 06.04.2008, the award is not paid to the petitioner so far. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has made a representation on 22.02.2016 to the first respondent.

3.Therefore, this Court, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, only directs the first respondent to consider the said representation and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
