Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to expedite and conclude the enquiry upon petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2015 within the time frame and consequently direct him to forward the enquiry report to 1st respondent for taking suitable action as per law, within a time frame as stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.] The petitioner has filed this writ petition to direct the first respondent to take action against the fifth respondent for misappropriation.

2.The petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent, alleging irregularities on the part of the fifth respondent in his capacity as the President of the Aambakudi Panchayat. Since follow up action was not taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader by producing a copy of the proceeding, dated 31.08.2016, on the file of the second respondent, submitted that enquiry was conducted and a report was submitted before the District Collector, Sivagangai District. The enquiry does not reveal any act of irregularity on the part of the fifth respondent.

4.In view of the subsequent events, we dismiss the writ petition as infructuous. No costs.
