ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the promotion panel list to the Post of Superintendent in Highways

Department and to promote the petitioner to the post of Superintendent in Highways Department with all attendant and service benefits by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2017.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking promotion to the post of Superintendent along with all attendant and service benefits. However, so far no orders have been passed on the representation of the petitioner. Therefore, he is before this Court, seeking for appropriate direction to the respondents. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the 1st and 2nd respondents, on merits and appropriate orders would be passed.

4.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
