..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to transfer the patta in the Petitioner's name from the name of the Petitioner's deceased husband Chinnachamy in respect of the property based on the Petitioner's application dated 2.5.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.By consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.No counter is filed on behalf of the Respondents. 3.The Petitioner had submitted a representation, dated 2.5.2016 before the Respondent/The Tahsildar, Alangudi Taluk Office, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District seeking transfer of patta in her name from that of her deceased husband's name Chinnachamy. It appears that the said representation is pending for consideration in the hands of the Respondent. Till date, the same is not yet disposed of.

4.Considering the limited relief sought for by the Writ Petitioner in this Writ Petition, this Court in the interest of justice and fair play, directs the Respondent/The Tahsildar, Alangudi Taluk Office, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District to look into the representation of the Petitioner, dated 02.05.2016 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned speaking order on merits (of course after providing necessary opportunity to the Petitioner and others concerned, if any, by adhering to the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit) within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the Petitioner to produce copies of all necessary/relevant documents before the Respondent and the Respondent shall take into consideration of the same at the time of disposal of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 2.5.2016. The Petitioner is also directed to lend her assistance/co-operation to the Respondent in disposing of her representation, dated 2.5.2016, within the time adumbrated by this Court.

5.With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
