O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to provide relief under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Accident Relief Fund to the petitioner by considering her representation dated 20.11.2017.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for
final disposal at the stage of admission.
3.The case of the petitioner is that her husband has passed away in a road accident on 22.09.2015 and hence, she has applied for getting the relief under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Accident Relief Fund, through the fourth respondent in the year 2015 itself. Since no steps have been taken to provide the said relief, the petitioner has given a representation dated 20.11.2017 to the respondents. Even, this representation has also not been considered so far by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that if reasonable time is granted to the respondents, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed. 5.In view of the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
