O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.6 of 2015 and to file the final report.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was working as an Executive Engineer at Public Works Department/ Water Resources Organization, Korampallam Aru Basin Division, Thoothukudi. Based on the credible information, the respondent police conducted a detailed enquiry and found that the petitioner and others misappropriated the Government funds. Hence, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.6 of 2015, against the petitioner and others for the offence punishable under Sections 120-B, 420, 468, 471 and 409 IPC and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) (d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent stated that in this case, the investigation is completed and the charge sheet will be filed within a period of two months.

4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to file final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
